SEPTEMBER is a very full month for the Folk Sessions. Our 2nd concert at the Highland Center for Natural History on Saturday, September 6th, features Gail Steiger and Sue Harris. These two purveyors of Arizona’s musical heritage will blend music and environment at the nature center.

The 4th Season of The Granite Peak Folk Sessions kicks off on Friday September 26th with noted Chicago Songwriter Buddy Mondlock. Vyktoria Pratt Keating opens the evening. About Buddy, David Johnson of the Boston Globe says “as acclaimed as Buddy is as a songwriter, he is a fine performer who can create his share of magic with his high clear voice and inventive acoustic guitar.”

On Saturday, September 27, the Folk Sessions heads to the Verde Valley with a full day of music at Yavapai College’s 40th Anniversay Celebration at the Clarkdale Campus. “Still Groovin’ at 40″ features a free bar b que, children’s entertainment and musc from 11-4pm. Artists include D Squared, Dennis Garvey & Remedy, Crossroads, Vyktoria Pratt Keating and Tom Agostino & friends.

“Mythic songwriter” Cosy Sheridan, accompanied by TR Ritchie performs on Friday October24th.
