Where the finest folk and acoustic musicians come to play!
The Folk Sessions may well be one
of the most eclectic radio shows in
America. Broadcast throughout
Central & Northern Arizona and into
Nevada for over eight years on the
KJAZZ Radio Network, The Folk
Sessions has established a loyal
following, producing quality radio
programs and live concerts, and
providing a community voice for Arizona businesses and organizations offering valuable services.
Founded in 2002 by Alexa MacDonald and Tom Agostino, the show has featured more than 350 musical guests, including Tom Chapin, Rosanne Cash, Jack Williams, Gypsy Soul, Laurie Lewis and Denise Franke. Tom Agostino remains the host and when you turn on The Folk Sessions on a Saturday night, what you’ll hear is music that originated around campfires and church halls, grange halls and honky-tonks – music with its roots in the stuff of real life. The Folk Sessions is a reminder of what music once was – and to folk music lovers, still is.
In 2010 The Folk Sessions also began broadcasting over the internet on AMAZRadio.com
